I like this book. It is concise, to the point and the advice provided makes a lot of sense. Of course, nobody's life will change just from reading this book. The best thing is to reflect once or twice a day on what one's life is all about and for such reflections this book is ideal. It can help to put things in perspective. "Don't Analyze So Much" is one suggestion. "Things Do Not Always Need To Be Perfect" is another one. Many people can relate to that. The book also contains a few nice quotes. Here is one from Will Rogers: "Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else." How true. This book has to be seen as what it is: a motivational tool that can help stressed people to reflect and to change their focus. I normally do not review something that I've not read, but I suggest you take a look at the preview before buying this book. A few things immediately struck me.
1) It needs an editor. One title reads "Do Not Obese Over What You Cannot Control In Life.". I'm pretty sure the intention is not to say don't become overweight.
2) Inconsistent title capitalization. Some titles, such as the Obese one above, capitalize every word, and others use the standard title capitalization rules. Not a terrible thing, but again shows the need for better editing.
3) To me a better set of maxims would be the 59 slogans of Lojong, which can be found by doing a Google search.
50 Things is a really nice read and is filled with tips on how to be less stressed out and how to focus on things that make you happy. Its funny how the simile things matter and can make a big difference in terms of releasing stress.
Seem I have heard of these ideas, but it is always good to see them again. Thank you very much.

You won't find anything too new under the sun in this book, but it is a very nice, handy reminder of those apparently obvious things we can do to handle stress and that we forget precisely when we need to keep them in mind the most. Good examples, great as a little book to have nearby and look at at least once a day..
50 Things To Know To Live a Stress Free Life offers a hands-on practicum for reducing your stress. Even if I chose to apply even a half of the tips, my stress level would dip. I particularily enjoyed the quotations from the likes of Will Rogers and Eleanor Roosevelt. Tips like these can't be heard too often and need to become a natural part of your everyday life, making this book a smart purchase.

There are some really helpful tips here - some very simple - but all very useful. I was particularly interested in reading the tips about not Holding Onto a Grudge and Dwelling on the Past - all things that I did without realising it until I read this book.
There are also a list of some useful positive words at the end of the book to try and incorporate into our daily lives.
If you want to reduce the amount of stress in your daily life I would recommend this book to you.
